Tampa Area Electrical JATC

The JATC program allows electrical construction apprentices to learn the trade while earning wages, starting on the first day. Wages and benefits are determined by the locally negotiated collective bargaining agreement. When you join an accredited program like this one, you contribute to your retirement plan starting on day one.

This Tampa electrician apprenticeship program uses the advanced Learning Management System to combine online training materials with instructor-led classes. In-person classes meet once a week for six-hour sessions to supplement on-the-job (OJT) hours.

Classes at JATC are tuition-free, so you don’t have to worry about student debt or student loans while earning a trade degree. Wage benefits are also increased yearly for all apprentices in the program. Your hard work in class and on the job will pay off with the steadily increasing demand for skilled workers.

IEC Florida West Coast

The IEC apprenticeship in Tampa, Florida, can help you fast-track your career by helping you earn while you learn. You will be employed through the program without prior experience and attend evening classes twice a week to earn college credits.

You start out making $12.61 an hour but qualify to receive a raise for every 1,000 hours of OJT training. All of those OJT hours paired with 180 hours of free classroom instruction each year will give you all the tools you need to become comfortable in the trade.

After completing the IEC apprenticeship in Tampa, you are eligible to take the Journeyman’s Exam or qualify for state certification and licensing with only 8,000 hours of OJT instead of 12,000. This gives you a two-year head start to furthering your career.
