About ElectricalSchool.org

Training as an electrician is no joke, and with the various options for training available, it may be confusing to know where to begin. That is why we created Electrical School.

Electrical School is a partnership of trained electricians with different levels of experience in the field. As electricians who have been through the required training and made this a lifelong career, we are passionate about providing the resources you need to make informed decisions about your training and career options.

We love working as electricians and believe you will, too, especially if you are the kind of person who loves working with their hands and hates sitting behind a desk. Electrical School was formed out of this love alone and is not affiliated with any training program, corporation or trade organization. We write merely to serve our community of fellow electricians and electricians-to-be.

We believe that a career as a licensed electrician gives you freedom of choice. Whether you would prefer business ownership or a nine-to-five day job, pursuing this career is a great way to meet your goals. We hope the information we provide will help you find the perfect path to your perfect future.

Jason Lucas

Contributing Writer

Jason knew he was meant for a trade from the time he got his first set of Legos. He decided on electricity because he loves the precise nature of electrical work. Jason has been a licensed Master Electrician since 2009 and currently works in a hospital system near Cleveland, Ohio.

Jennifer Wade

Contributing Writer

Jennifer decided to become an electrician after waiting far too many tables in her early 20s. Now approaching 30, Jennifer is a licensed journeyman electrician and a much happier person all around. When not working for a local contractor, Jennifer is an avid hiker and hopes to finish the Appalachian Trail before turning 40.
